iPhone Development Training Hasn't Started

Contrary to what the Blogger Bots want to think, this Blog, which was flagged this week for Spam, is my attempt to document and inform people of my findings and developments while I learn to develop applications for my iPhone.

Time has been scarce lately so I apologize to any followers and of course the Blogger Bots for not updating this Blog until now.

I will make more of an effort to produce a frequently updated blog from this point forward.

Happy Programming!

iPhone Development 1.0

Okay, just to introduce myself, My name is Matthew Schwade, I am 29 years old and reside in the state of Ohio (U.S.A.).  I am a jack of all trades, but mostly I consider myself a programmer, developer, and a journalist.  Yes, that's right: I write and I write code :)

I've been a Windows guy my entire life, until I got my first iPhone.  My Blackberry was a royal pain in the arse for the last four or five months I had it. I am not quite sure how I even dealt with it for as long as I did, but I couldn't even scroll down with the trackball during that timeframe!!!  I guess you'll put up with just about anything when you have a lot of bills and can't afford a new phone.

But, my beautiful wife finally said enough is enough on July 24, 2008, and surprised me and got me my first iPhone as a gift :)  It didn't take long for me to fall in love with it and see how superior it was to the BlackBerry Pearl and I can't say enough about it today as a happy iPhone owner :)

So Labor Day weekend, my IBM ThinkPad decides to randomly reboot itself a dozen or so times before my wife says Let's go look at computers.  I had been talking about getting a Mac, so we ended up going to BestBuy and it didn't take for me to get talked into getting a MacBook.  It's different, overall I like it a lot, but I have to admit it gets frustrating at times after being on Windows for virtually my entire life.

So here I am today, Saturday, September 27, 2008, authoring my first blog as my MacBook is actively downloading the SDK for iPhone Development.  I haven't even brainstormed what kind of applications I'd like to create, but if there is one thing I am good at, it's using my imagination  and my noodle.  So stay posted and you'll get to see my maturation process hopefully into an Apple recognized App Developer!
